Inspiration Post: Hello Kitty’s Bats & Cats Masquerade

After messing around with Polyvore for a few… HOURS.. (Beware this site, ladies! It’s a timesuck!!! A good one, though…!!) we came up with a few inspirational outfits for Hello Kitty’s Bats and Cats Masquerade!

In the last masquerade inspiration post, we showed the more costume-y side of what could be worn to the party. In this post, let’s take a look at some Masquerade-themed outfits.

If you’d like to go more goth and bat-like, check out these fun coordinates we whipped up!

Hello Kitty’s 3 Apples Swag

Not to be lost in the slew of Hello Kitty and Three Apples Exhibition posts; we give you the awesome gift bags that were handed out during the VIP Opening Party on October 22, 2009.

Report: Three Massive Apples

Bubble Punch!

Bubble Punch!

Again another big THANK YOU to everyone who made it out to the Three Apples opening party last night!

Space Kitty

The event was so named “Three Apples” as a tribute to Hello Kitty’s weight, as listed on her profile, and the event was a complete success. It was literally packed with attendees and a massive line around the block of Washington Blvd and Robertson Blvd where Royal/T Maid Café sits in Culver City.

The exhibition itself will run at Royal-T from 10/23/09 to 11/15/09 with many event parties during it’s duration. Our Hello Kitty’s Bats & Cats Masquerade (listed as Goth Party on Sanrio.Com) will be held on Friday, November 13, 2009 from 8PM – 12Midnight. More information on this party can be found here.

Also featured at this exhibition are limited edition items ranging from collectibles, purses, accessories, house/kitchen ware. Bubble Punch staffer Chubby Bunny also has limited edition patent red Hello Kitty bows that were made specifically for this event!

Our full listing of photos can be found on our Flickr, but here are a few of our faves below the cut!

Cats and Bats Inspiration!

A lot of readers have been asking about acceptable attire to the upcoming Hello Kitty’s Bats and Cats Masquerade! Basically… anything goes!!!

We’ll be posting up some inspiration for guests to draw from, but first, let’s review:

Sanrio not only has the cutie pie Hello Kitty as their mascot; they also have a slew of other friends! We think the sassier of the bunch would definitely be easiest to associate with the “goth” look. The two with the most spunk are Badtz Maru and Kuromi!

We encourage costumes of all types, whether it be more traditional masquerade attire, or cute representations of your favorite Sanrio character! Your imagination is most assuredly welcome here. Here are a few of our favorites under the jump!
