Holiday Happiness

Though it’s belated, we here at Bubble Punch truly hope that all of our readers had a wonderful Christmas in 2009! We sure did!

We actually cheated and celebrated a bit early last year (on December 23, to be exact), The Chubby Bunny was leaving for her Costa Rican Christmas Adventures, and Yume Ninja made preparations to receive Christmas guests.

2009 marked our first Bubble Punch family Christmas together. After the hullabuloo of November and early December, we of course opted to celebrate in extreme comfort!

On The Today Show

In case you guys missed it, there was a Chubby Bunny Bow sighting on The Today Show during the segment about Sanrio’s $100k donation of Hello Kitty Gifts to the Today Show Toy Drive.

We declare there should be a big round of applause for our friends at Sanrio who have given so much to children during the holiday season, and a congratulatory applause to Chubby Bunny for the success of her bows.

Bears & Pancakes! Oh My!

We’d love to thank all our friends who dared to bear the rainy Los Angeles weather in support Rilakkuma’s Christmas Pancake Party at JapanLA last nite! We hope you all had as much fun as we did!

Rilakkuma is coming to town!

In preparation for Rilakkuma’s State-side arrival; we here at Bubble Punch hopped on over to our friends at JapanLA to help deck out the store in Christmas  style!

Jamie was kind enough to invite us over as her little Christmas elves to do a little bit of decorating before the weekend hit :) We were happy to don our Santa’s Little Helper caps and scotch tape and do some old fashion decorating! Candy canes and old-school garland can never steer you wrong when it comes to simple and cost-effective holiday decor!

Hand-cut snowflakes are an affordable and fun way to add some cute christmas cheer to the decor as well! Relearning how to do these properly was interesting, too.. hah...

Have you all thought about what you’re wearing to Saturday’s Rilakkuma Christmas Pancake Party? Remember there will be a contest with prizes for the best Christmas themed outfit!

And, if you missed it, there will be gift bags for the first 100 JapanLA customers who purchase official San-X merchandise specifically released to JapanLA for this event! Don’t miss out as JapanLA will be one of very few hand-selected US based retailers authorized to sell authentic San-X goodies!

For more information on this event please visit:

www.JapanLA.com or refer to our previous post: HERE!

As always, we at Bubble Punch look forward to seeing you all soon! We encourage everyone to break out their creativity caps and wow us with your Christmas outfits!

See you this Saturday!

A Disneyland Christmas

Even though some of you may scoff, Disneyland really is one of the most magical places on earth for us here at Bubble Punch!

Perhaps it’s because we’re both complete saps, but we’ve been amped about seeing the sparkly Christmas décor at Disneyland for months! And, as anticipated, we both CRIED A LOT during the day because we were so moved by the awesomeness. TEARS OF JOY (Here’s a fun game: Try to count how many times we mention we cry during the course of our Disney trip haha).

Last Sunday we headed out with some of our awesome friends to see the sights… and, of course, as always, we planned a themed dress up day for the occasion. Whenever we can, we try to organize fun clothing-themed outings to Disneyland with our friends. It’s one of the few ways you can really make the happiest place on earth even happier!

This time, we decided to theme the day with CHRISTMAS GARB!

The seasonal Christmas parade down Main Street was really adorable, and had all of our favorite characters dancing around to a holiday beat, haha. We felt a little sorry for the elves, because whoever did their makeup apparently wanted them all to look like they were pushing 50 (red lips, red cheeks, heavey eyeliner, and blue eye shadow. YIKES!) but other than that it was all pretty magical! Mickey and Minnie were at the end of the parade actually ICE SKATING on top of their float.

Adorable Toy Soldiers! Check out the hinges on their shoes!

In addition to all the beautiful Christmas décor, we got to see Disneyland’s new show they installed to celebrate The Princess and The Frog movie! It was really cute… we were lucky enough to see an advanced screening of the movie two weeks ago, (almost a month before the release date! Lucky!) and the show and characters are a really cute complement to the movie! Also, embarrassingly enough, Prince Naveen is… the hottest prince Disney has ever produced. LOOK AT THIS GUY.

Prince Naveen. Yikes. And we were told there was a hotter guy who plays that trades off! WHAAT!

The It’s a Small World ride also transformed into the best holiday ride ever! We really recommend everyone who can to go on it… the line moves super quick even if it’s around the entire area of the park, haha. Every 15 minutes, the lights on front of the ride shut off and a holiday projection show is shown on the front of it, in time a fun mix of holiday music! The inside of the ride was also revamped for Christmas cheer to be had all over the world. We’re not going to lie; we CRIED BUCKETS because it was amazing.

The lights are all different colors too.. a really beautiful momen twas coming around the bend and seeing this...!

The special holiday fireworks were also incredibly magical! our favorite part was the snowfall at the end.. nothing like fake snow bubbles to make it Christmas-y in California!!

SNOW!!!! We cried. ;.;

SNOW!!!! We cried. ;.;

You can see even more photos from our magical Disney Christmas romp at our Flickr!

Happy Holidays everyone! (And don’t be fooled into thinking this it the last holiday-related post you’ll see from us! MWUA HA HA!)
